Alkynes undergo many of the same addition reactions (reactions where matter is added) as the alkenes, although usually more slowly. But overall, alkynes are more reactive than alkenes.
These are some of the typical reactions for alkynes: (Click on the image to see a better view)


Halogenation:(X = Cl, Br)
Reaction of alkynes with halogens, usually Cl and Br.

Hydro-halogenation: (X=Cl,Br,I)
Reaction of Alkynes with Hydrogen Halides (hydrogen-halogen compounds) like HCl, HBr, HI etc.


Hydrogenation:

Reactions of alkynes with hydrogen under special circumstances – like in the presence of catalysts.

Hydration:
Reactions of alkynes with hydrogen compounds – this includes acids, bases, water etc.
